Altering Life by Holding it Still: Photographs by Dorothea Lange and Marion Post Wolcott Images from the 1930’s and 1940’s by two of America’s most important documentary photographers. The title is a reference to Lange’s statement “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.”
