"I had one internship while at Otterbein at Worthington Industries. Even though my internship was not what I wanted to do with my career, it helped me decide to pursue graduate school in economic development at Vanderbilt University, and to find what I really like. So my advice to new business students is to get your foot in the door early to discover the right fit for you. Even if it doesn't work out, the experience of being in a professional environment is always valuable and something that you can put on your résumé." Andrew Watson '14, economics and business administration
"Start looking for internships earlier than you think you should and take advantage of the opportunities Otterbein gives you." Jackie Faeth '14, marketing
"I have an internship that started a week after graduation at Kunz, Leigh & Associates, an IT strategy consulting firm that recently opened a new office in Columbus. This internship is pretty much guaranteed to turn into a full-time job as soon as I am comfortable with the industry and take on more responsibilities. My advice to new and current students is to be committed to your classes. Professors notice when you're engaged and when you actually try. I have developed some great relationships with my professors, and those connections are invaluable." Beth Gier '14, business administration with a concentration in marketing; English wiht a concentration in literary studies
"Otterbein's marketing analytics program is outstanding. I have felt so prepared for this position." Gena DiMattio, marketing intern at Express
During her time at Otterbein, business administration and theatre double major, Maria Archer '14 landed two internships - one with Available Light Theatre in Columbus, Ohio and one with FringeArts in Philadelphia. She is now the office manager at FringeArts.
After graduation, Anna Schiffbauer '14, business administration and psychology double major, landed a Fall internship with the Student Press Law Center in Arlington, VA.

Some classes are so fun to sit through while you learn new skills and knowledge. Other classes, well, maybe a little less fun. But how many students take the time to consider who is sitting right next to them?
