Choirs

Concert Choir at Kilkenny Castle

The Otterbein Choirs offers something for everyone.  With 6 vocal ensembles, Otterbein singers perform a variety of repertoire, from Maroon Five to Mozart.  Students of all majors sing in the choirs, and all vocal ensembles are of the highest quality. There are music award opportunities for singers from every major on campus.

Otterbein’s choirs combine regularly to perform choral masterworks in conjunction with the Westerville Symphony. In addition, Otterbein choirs have performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and appear regularly at professional conferences of the Ohio Music Education Association and the American Choral Directors Association.

Auditions & Awards

Participation & Talent Awards
Participation awards are available for students of all majors. Talent awards are available for music majors by audition. Learn more about financial aid music awards

On-Campus Auditions for Choir Ensembles
Students across campus, regardless of major, are encouraged to audition for placement in one of our choirs. Auditions will be held the weekend before classes begin, on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. You may sign up for a time on the bulletin board located in the Battelle Fine Arts Center lobby. Students do not need to bring a solo to the audition. If you have questions, contact Dr. Gayle Walker, gwalker@otterbein.edu or 614-634-0024.
