Feb. 6-10 - Enrichment Series Hosts Visiting Filmmaker
The Otterbein University Enrichment Series and Department of Art hosts visiting filmmaker Jonathan Rattner on campus Feb. 6-10. Rattner is assistant professor of film studies and assistant professor of art at Vanderbilt University. His work includes non-fiction and experimental film and videos that have been screened at film festivals and galleries internationally.

Featuring Mr. Rattner’s most recent work
Rattner combines nonfiction and experimental forms to create meditative visual documents. He has served as the creative director of Iowa City Senior Television, a 20-year-old station consisting of crewmembers between the ages of 65 and 89. He helped launch their web channel and initiated the “Linn Street Intergenerational Collective,” collaborative projects with University students, English language learning high school students and senior citizens. He has screened work at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The World Social Forum in Brazil, the University of Iowa Museum of Art and galleries, festivals and colleges in Europe and the United States. He is an active member of Wildland Urban Interface Artist Collective. He earned master’s degrees in film and video production and in intermedia art from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in film and television from Tisch School for the Arts at New York University.
