I am a Teammate
Brent Meininger
Department: Business, Accounting, & Economics
Major: Business
Class: 2015

The importance of a loyal teammate should never go unnoticed. Having someone next to you during times of heartache and triumph can be invaluable.

Brent Meininger was a four-year letterman in lacrosse while in high school, earning all-region and All-Ohio honors along the way. Not only is he playing his first year of collegiate lacrosse at Otterbein, but he is also serving as a valuable teammate within his new Eta Phi Mu fraternity.

“Becoming a member of Eta Phi Mu has shown me a lot,” Meininger said. “I’ve learned about myself and other members of the fraternity, which has led to the creation of many friendships with a diverse group of individuals. These friendships will last a lifetime.”

Brent cites third-year men’s head lacrosse coach Colin Hartnett as a source of inspiration throughout the entire recruiting process and for helping him take advantage of all Otterbein has to offer.

Meininger has spent time volunteering with his lacrosse teammates at a local elementary school, helping the young children with their “Secret Santa” event.

“Giving back to the community, either as an individual or a team, can really create a good reputation for our lacrosse program and Otterbein as a whole,” he said.
