Westerville, OH—The Otterbein University Department of Business, Accounting and Economics will host Harry Featherstone, a retired Ford Motor Company executive and former CEO and chairman of the board for Will Burt Company, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011. He will share his experiences with students in management and operations classes, which will be open to the entire campus. He will discuss the topics “What Lessons Have I Learned?” and “The State of Manufacturing in the U.S.”
Featherstone is CEO of Featherstone & Associates in Wooster, Ohio. He has previously served as CEO for the Will-Burt Company and Orrville Products, Inc. He has also held positions at Armstrong Furnace, Chrysler Airtemp, Ford Philco and Ford Motor Company. He has consulted for the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Secretary of State, Johns Hopkins University, The Ohio State University, the State of Oregon and Northern Ireland. He has also served as a delegate for the Conference of Security and Exchange Commission, Small Business Capital Formation; board member for the National Association of Manufacturers; presidential appointee to the Board of Directors-Workplace Education; founding member of the National Education Leadership Council; board member for the National Center on Education and the Economy; and on the boards of various state-level associations and organizations in Ohio.
