Honors Housing & Leadership LLC - Mayne Hall
In 2016-2017, Mayne Hall will be home to first year and returning male and female Honors students and new students participating in the Leadership LLC. Women will live on the 1st, 3rd and 4th floors with men residing on the 2nd floor.
First priority will be given to roommate pairs who are both part of the Leadership LLC and/or Honors. If space is available, Honors and LLC students will be able to select rooms with roommates who are not part of either program.
Students interested in either Honors or the Leadership LLC should mark this request on their Housing Request Form.
STEM & Arts Appreciation - Dunlap-King
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) along with appreciation of the fine arts will be the focus of Dunlap-King Hall. Students from all science and fine arts majors are encouraged to consider living in DK. The RA staff will collaborate with faculty to plan special events throughout the year focusing on the sciences and fine arts including attending campus events and painting a mural in the building. DK will be open to both current and new students with men living on ground and first floors and women living on second and third floors. Four triple rooms are available for women on the third floor.
Open Space - Hall TBA
Open Space welcomes students of all genders and sexualities interested in living in a safe, supportive environment. This community will foster a deeper understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. It will encourage personal development and campus engagement. Residents will be invited to participate in SafeZone training and be connected to relevant gender and sexual diversity resources, including student organizations and campus events.
Students who do not identify as LGBTQ, but are affirming of those who do, are also welcome and encouraged to reside on the Open Space floors (exact hall to be determined). Open Space floors will continue to be single sex (based on the legal sex reported on the housing request form.)
