The Battelle Scholars Program endeavors to attract students who display unusual leadership ability and encourages these students to develop and keep their talents in Central Ohio. The criteria for selection as a Battelle Scholar are leadership potential and intellectual promise. Financial need is not a consideration nor is the field of study.
Scholarships are available to students who are entering fall first-time freshmen. Applicants must attend high school in Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway or Union counties.
The award is for one-half tuition and is awarded for four years of study. Recipients are expected to maintain a 3.0 grade point average in order to retain the scholarship. Finalists for this award will be invited to campus for an interview.
Potential applicants will be nominated by their admission counselors and sent the scholarship application shortly after the January 15 deadline. Guidance counselors may nominate potential applicants by this date forwarding their names to the Admission Office by mail or email.
