Master of Arts in Educational Mathematics

Are you an AYA licensed teacher or community college math teacher looking to take the next step in your field to expand both your knowledge as a teacher and your career opportunities? The Master of Arts in Educational Mathematics (MAEM) is a specialized program designed to meet the needs of the classroom teacher. Classes are offered in the evening and our program is structured to give you practical, hands-on information and experiences that you can use in your classroom.

The MAEM degree satisfies the advanced degree requirement for high school teachers wanting to obtain adjunct faculty status, enabling them to teach dual enrollment courses at the college level. This program meets the needs of community college faculty seeking a master’s degree in math. Specialization certificates are also offered in this area for teachers, regardless of whether they are pursuing the MAEM program. These certificates are of particular benefit to middle grades teachers looking to transition to teaching high school or current high school teachers preparing for a shift in academic duties.
