The Otterbein University women’s golf team will be holding a book drive to raise money for breast cancer research Dec. 10-12 in the Campus Center on the Westerville campus. The drive will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
The team encourages anyone to donate one used textbook and receive a small gift of thanks from local businesses in return. Proceeds will go to the KSAC Foundation, a 501c3 not-for-profit foundation committed to raising money to help fund research for a cure for breast cancer as well as provide financial assistance to current breast cancer patients who are struggling with the overwhelming costs of care associated with their disease.
“Books for Breast Cancer” is a grassroots effort led by students at colleges and universities across the country, according to the KSAC Foundation website. Money will be raised by asking college students, at the end of each semester, to donate one gently used textbook at a "Just 1 Event".
Questions can be directed to head women’s golf coach Chad Bucci at CBucci@Otterbein.edu.
