Performer Johnny Steiner’s show UNFORGETTABLE at Otterbein University Theater
Johnny Steiner ’96 will once again hit the stage at his college alma mater, Otterbein University, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10, in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall. Called UNFORGETTABLE, the show celebrates music made famous by the incomparable Nat King Cole. Admission is $15 at the door, which opens at 1 p.m.
Steiner’s show offers great entertainment – including a bevy of surprise guests, lots of
laughs, and some fantastic music. “With this show, we are making music associated
with one of the greatest singers who ever lived. So much is made of Cole’s velvet voice that you sort of forget how great his song choices were.” Backing up Steiner are Eileen Huston on piano, Eric Van Wagner on bass, and drummer David K. Johnston.
Steiner has been a freelance musician for nearly two decades. In 2012, he was
named music director of Vaud-Villities – the long running singing and dancing
spectacular, which started in Columbus in 1943.
