Tobias Ewing believes that the people at Otterbein have helped shape his life for the better in just a few months’ time.
“Instead of focusing on myself and my flaws, I’ve found out how I can become the best possible person through the people I interact with,” says Ewing. “The people I come in contact with help me become open to things I’d never think about myself, as well as become parts of areas that I never knew I could be interested in.”
Ewing has become involved with Student Senate, Kings, and the Phone-a-thon during his time at Otterbein. He lists Admission Counselor Teri Devlin as his most inspiring and influential person for her continued motivation and positive attitude.
Tobias believe that he is being shaped every single day, whether it is his fraternity brothers motivating him, talking frankly and boldly with a professor, or even casually chatting with friends.
He would advise new Otterbein students to “take a risk and step out of their comfort zone to really show your true self to people around you. So many good things can come from just being open.”
