Come meet and listen to Dr. John Comerford, Otterbein's 21st President, share his thoughts and insights on how Graduate Programs will continue to impact the growth and innovation of not only the Westerville Community, but also the Columbus Ohio region, and beyond.

John Comerford, Ph.D., comes to Otterbein University with a record of commitment and advocacy for higher education and liberal arts colleges. He has served as president of Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois, since 2013, where he has been at the center of a number of innovative programs designed to enhance student access and learning. Comerford is committed to providing access to affordable higher education while delivering excellence in academic, student life, and career preparation programs.

Comerford completed his doctorate degree in higher education administration with an emphasis in law at the University of Kansas. He also holds a master's degree in college student personnel administration from the University of Central Missouri and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Western Illinois University.

History of the Executive Guest Lecture Series

The Executive Guest Lecture Series provokes new thought, stimulates engaging conversations, and promotes collaborations through talks on varied tops of interest. Topic areas range from education, health care, change management, technology innovations, commerce, creative arts, and social justice. The lecture series facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge among faculty, graduate students, and the public.
