Horsing Around: Otterbein’s Equine Science Camp

Love horses? Back by popular demand, Otterbein University’s Equine Science Camp will show horse enthusiasts the time of their lives! Campers will ride an hour and a half each day, learn the ins and outs of horse handling, and study equine behavior and communication. Equine nutrition, massage and braiding are also huge components of this exciting hands-on camp. What’s more, the already competitive price of this camp just got better! Dates: June 3-7, June 10-14, June 17-21, July 15-19, July 22-26, July 29-August 2
(On Fridays, parents are invited to attend an end-of-camp horse show during the lunch hour. Pizza will be served.)
Times: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: $399
For students: Age 10-entering high school seniors
Maximum capacity of each camp: 15
Location: Otterbein University’s Equine Center, 600 N. Spring Road, Westerville
Items to bring: Sack lunch, water bottle, snack, sun screen, change of clothes (shorts are fine), hair ties for long hair, riding boots (over the ankle, flat sole with heel), riding helmet, English riding breeches or jodhpurs recommended (jeans are fine, but make sure they do not have buttons on back pockets)
