Dr. Galarce's Service to Professional Organizations

  • Reviewer for the Publications of the Modern Languages Association of America (PMLA), serving as a consultant specialist for the organization
  • Interpreter for the United States District Court, the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division; for proceedings and trials at the Federal Court and at the Court of Common Pleas; and also for FBI agents, counsels, and probation officers in preparation for trials and pre-sentence report
  • Business translations for private companies dealing with foreign countries (Worthington Cylinders, Worthington Industries, American Colorscans, Inc., Alcon Labs) and software translation for ESL and TOEFL Preparation Program.
  • Outside reviewer for the Department of Modern Language and Literature, The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., 1995.
