My research in argumentation has looked at gender differences in how we approach and use argument and debate. I have looked at this from a theoretical level with the use of feminist theory as well as from an applied practical level in how this manifests itself in the competitive debate community. My second main area of research is in how we communicate within the classroom setting. I’ve explored use of oral interpretation and drama as a pedagogic method across disciplines to engage students in the classroom and thus improve learning.
