Otterbein University Theatre presents "Gypsy"

Westerville, OH—Otterbein University Theatre presents the musical Gypsy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26; 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29; and 8 p.m. on April 27-28 and May 3-5 at the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Jule Styne’s and Stephen Sondheim’s musical Gypsy moves, enchants and enlightens with the musical journey of Rose’s children—a fun and playful struggle that falls somewhere short of stardom. The pursuit of stage success is everything for the headstrong and overbearing Rose. Determined to see her daughter’s name in lights on Broadway, she’ll blackmail theatre managers, charm agents and live on pennies. Featuring familiar songs including “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” Gypsy has earned its place as one of the great American musicals.
Tickets for Gypsy are $25 each and can be reserved by calling the Otterbein University box office at (614) 823-1109. The box office is open 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. Student Rush discounts are available one hour prior to curtain, pending ticket availability. The box office is located in Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville.
