Westerville, OH—The Otterbein University Department of Music will present a harpsichord recital by Jennifer Bell at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 7, in Riley Auditorium of the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park St. The program, entitled Shall We Dance?, will highlight changes in popularity of social dances, and will feature suites by Johann Jakob Froberger, Elizabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre and J. S. Bach. The harpsichord was the most popular keyboard instrument from the 15th through mid-18th centuries, and its colorful plucked sound continues to charm the ear. This performance is free and open to the public.
