Application for BA Theatre Candidates
Please submit your application for academic admission to Otterbein University. Then, submit a profile to Acceptd and upload the following, as separate documents or media:
- Your resume
- Headshot or photo (Photo needs to be a recent picture, no need for it to be professional)
- Optional: 3-4 samples of your strongest work. Art work, photographs, sound clips, and video are all acceptable. Stage managers may submit up to 5 pages of a prompt script (scanned into a single document).
- Letter of Recommendation: You will be prompted to enter your current theatre teacher's name and email along with an additional adult who can speak to your work ethic a/o character. An email will be sent from getacceptd.com and prompt them to submit a letter on your behalf.
After we receive your Acceptd profile, you will be granted access to schedule your on-campus or online interview. Scheduling a campus visit in tandem with your interview allows you to sit in on classes and receive complimentary tickets to a featured mainstage production.
Applicants should direct questions to Matt Wolfe at email@example.com or 614.823.1657.
Interview for BA Theatre Candidates
Interviews are required of all applicants, beginning in September and continuing on select Thursdays throughout the school year. Specific dates and times are available through Acceptd.
Please submit your profile at least 30 days prior to your desired interview date. The final day for interviews is Thursday April 7th. Please note that students are given access to online scheduling on a first-come, first-served basis and earlier submissions will have a wider selection of available dates.
Talent Awards are given to BA Theatre students based on the interview process. These awards are in addition to any other scholarships or awards given by the University.
University admission decisions and BA Theatre decisions are made on a rolling basis. Students must be accepted to both the university and the BA Theatre program to enroll in coursework.
