The Five Cards in the Community

Cardinal Experiences deepen students’ connections with their immediate community as well as communities around the world. Through Five Cards Experiences students impact communities and communities impact students.

Cards in the Community Spotlight: Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM)

Otterbein has a strong relationship with the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM) a local Westerville organization that offers assistance and runs a food pantry within walking distance of Otterbein’s campus. WARM has served the Westerville community since 1972 and for the past eight years Otterbein students have interned and completed civic apprenticeships at WARM as well as lead for drives for the pantry. In 2012, Otterbein student Andy Hufford led the SEEDS (Students Engaged in Ecological Development and Stewardship) program at the Otterbein Community Garden, which donated over 1,200 pounds of produce to the pantry.
