From Safety Week to celebrating the end of the semester with a No Stress Zone, we offer a variety of programs to help educate you on important wellness topics.

Wellness Calendar of Events 2016/2017

Going on Now! 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday in the Health Center, Flu Shots
Don't get caught off guard! Get your flu shot! $20 for full-time students. Checks, debit/credit cards accepted (no cash).

October 24-28, Safety Week & Keys to Drinking
Look for Keys to Drinking and drug education posters, PSAs and tweets
all week long. Additional safety week programming includes:

October 24 - Step Up! Bystander Awareness

October 25 -- Self-Defense Class taught by OPD

Wellness will collaborate with the Center for Balanced Living and Otterbein Recreation and Fitness to bring you important information on eating disorders and Otterbein Students. 

February 14, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Campus Center: Happy Valentine's Day! 
Visit our Valentine's day booth to learn more about healthy relationships and sexual health.

February 20-24, Just in time for spring break

By this time, we are all ready for someplace warm. Watch for important information on smart drinking, partying and general safety. We will also hand out cool give-a-ways.

April TBA, 8-9:30 p.m. at the Campus Center: "Take Back the Night"
Wellness is partnering with Tau Epsilon Mu to discuss and raise awareness about relationship violence. 

Wellness Topics

The topics below are addressed throughout the year through various programming:

  • Alcohol
  • Substance abuse
  • Stress management
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Sexual health
  • Sexual assault
  • Women's issues
  • Rx drug awareness

Wellness-sponsored programs are designed to increase awareness on these important topics and help students develop strategies for handling issues that arise during the college years.

Students are encouraged to join support groups or schedule an appointment to see a counselor on campus when they are confronted with personal challenges or simply need an outside resource to speak with.
