We can help you make Otterbein your new home.
You’re moving away from home for the first time, and everything can seem overwhelming. Don’t worry, we’re here to guide you through the housing process.
Living Learning Communities
We will offer three (3) Living Learning Communities (LLCs) in 2017-2018; Leadership, Radical Creativity and Health & Wellness. LLCs pair your First Year Seminar (FYS) with living together, so you live with your FYS classmates. A number of out-of-class and special activities are being planned for the LLCs, including an early move-in time. Learn more and apply here.
Themed Communities
We will offer four (4) Themed Living Communities in 2017-2018; Honors, STEM, Arts Appreciation & Open Space. Themed Living Communities allow students with special interests to live together, but do not require participation in a certain course. Students in Honors will reside in Mayne Hall and will be invited to participate through their academic department/Honors department. Students interested in STEM will live in Hanby Hall. Arts Appreciation and Open Space will live in Dunlap-King Hall. More information is available here.
All Gender Restrooms
An all gender restroom is a restroom open to all persons. The all gender restrooms on Otterbein’s campus are private, locking, and available for use to all persons. These restrooms include one toilet, one sink and the door to the bathroom locks. (The all-gender restrooms are separate and different from the community style bathrooms in each of the traditional residence halls). Please click here for a complete list of all gender restrooms in the residence halls and academic buildings. Check out the all gender restroom signs Otterbein University received for free http://www.mydoorsign.com/all-gender-restroom-signs. We will be hanging these signs outside of all of the all gender restrooms on campus this year.
