The Triad is a complex consisting of three buildings for first year and upperclass students: Scott Hall, home to 32 men or women and two Resident Assistants; Engle Hall, home to 44 men or women and two Resident Assistants; and Garst Hall, home to two Resident Assistants and 72 students. Other than two single rooms in Garst Hall, all rooms in the Triad buildings are doubles. All of the buildings feature lounges, a computer lab, and a laundry room. Garst Hall has a full kitchen, while Engle and Scott have partial kitchens (fridge, microwave, sink).
Garst Hall has a theme of Arts Appreciation, is home to the Radical Creativity LLC and Open Space. Arts Appreciation is for students interested in the arts but not necessarily majoring in art, music, or theatre. Garst is also available for continuous housing, meaning the building is always open during winter break and summer (daily fee applies), so students not planning to leave campus for a year or more are encouraged to consider this option to reduce moving from one building to another.
Please note that these are samples of typical floor plans and furniture arrangements in this residence hall. Actual measurements and arrangements may differ.
