Resources & Opportunities
The Office of Diversity is here to help you find your way around the Otterbein community, and the central Ohio community. Here are some resources that may help you during your time at Otterbein.
Alliance for Black Student Leadership
The Alliance for Black Student Leadership brings students from from Otterbein, Capital, Ohio Wesleyan, Kenyon, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Ohio Dominican, Wittenberg and Denison universities together to develop, strengthen and foster student leadership among African American students.
Otterbein offers many general scholarships that you can view on the Financiad Aid website here. They also offer the following award to students of color.
Ammons-Thomas Awards - $500-5,000
These awards are offered to qualified students of color after acceptance to the university and an evaluation of a written essay. A limited number of Distinguished Ammons-Thomas Awards of up to one-half tuition are also available to outstanding students. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress toward their degree to retain the award. Apply to Otterbein now!
The Diversity Newsletter is a weekly update about diversity news, projects, and upcoming events. To sign up to receive it, send an email to the Office of Diversity.
