Group Fitness Class

From pilates to cardio bootcamp to yoga, we offer a variety of fitness classes to help you burn extra calories and change up your typical treadmill routine. Our classes are free to all students, faculty and staff. No registration is required, so join us any time! 

Group Fitness Class Schedule

Classes are free to all faculty, staff and students!
All classes are held in the Rike Center Fitness Studio from August 29 - December 1, 2016 (no classes Sept. 5, Oct. 10-11 or Nov. 22-24).

Ball Fusion (Kirstin): A great total body workout using the stability ball as the main piece of equipment with dumbbells, tubing, bars, and gliding discs used as supplemental equipment.

Barre Connect (Michelle): A combination of ballet and dance technique, yoga poses, functional strength exercises, and cardiovascular training. Participants will improve posture, mobility and flexibility, stability and balance, cardiovascular function, and muscular endurance.

Boot Camp Express (Vinnie): A 30-minute class designed to maximize calorie burn using cardio and strength moves and a variety of equipment.

Core Circuit (Michelle): This class combines core work with strength and short bursts of cardio for a well-rounded and fun workout.

Kickboxing (Carly):
High-paced intervals follow with kickboxing-specific strength/endurance training sequences and easy-to- follow combinations.

Yoga (Kirstin):
Improve your flexibility, decrease stress, and increase strength. Mats are provided but you can bring your own.

Otterbein is located adjacent to the 23 mile Westerville bikeway/leisure path. See the City of Westerville site for more details. 

The Westerville Community Center 
is a 96,600 square foot facility which offers a leisure pool with water slides and a lazy river; an 8-lane lap pool; walking/running track; gymnasium; fitness room; and an indoor climbing wall.
