International Student Support Services

Annual International Students Picnic

“Coming to Otterbein was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Otterbein gave me a platform to showcase my talent, to improve my leadership skills, to demonstrate my individuality, and to broaden my global perspective. At Otterbein, there’s never a dull moment for me.”

Chen Wang, President, International Students Association

Office of Social Justice and Activism

The Office of Social Justice and Activism oversees social and cultural activities for international students at Otterbein.  An example of some of the outings students go on include ethnic restaurants, amusement parks, the Circleville Pumpkin Festival, Amish Country, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and local parks.  On campus, students enjoy events such as International Night, homecoming, and a Cuban dinner.

International Orientation

International Orientation is a week-long experience for students to get comfortable at Otterbein and to learn essential information for success.  This includes immigration counseling, academic and health services, cultural adjustment, etc.  Students take a trip to downtown Columbus to become familiar with the larger city as well, visiting attractions such as Huntington Park, the North Market, and The Ohio Statehouse.
