• Otterbein Scholar Award ($8,000 per year)

  You are eligible to receive this award if:

  • You have achieved a TOEFL score of at least 573 on the paper-based test, 230 on the computer-based test, or 89 on the internet-based TOEFL, OR 
  • You have an SAT score of at least 1650 (or Enhanced ACT score of at least 24).

  This $8,000-per-year Otterbein Scholar Award is renewable each year (for a total of $32,000 during four years), provided you maintain a B average while at Otterbein.

• Otterbein Scholar Award ($6,000 per year)

  You are eligible for this award if:

  • You have achieved a TOEFL score of at least 547 on the paper-based test, 210 on the computer-based test, or 78 on the internet-based TOEFL, OR 
  • You have an SAT score of at least 1570 (or Enhanced ACT score of at least 22).

  This $6,000-per-year Otterbein Scholar Award is renewable each year (for a total of $24,000 during four years), provided you maintain a B average while at Otterbein.

• Endowed Scholarship ($800-5,000 per year)

  After being admitted to Otterbein, you may apply for an Endowed Scholarship by completing a scholarship application form that will be sent to you. You will be eligible for this scholarship if:

  • You have achieved a TOEFL score of at least 523 on the paper-based test, 193 on the computer-based test, or 70 on the internet-based TOEFL, OR
  • You have an Enhanced ACT score of at least 21 (or an SAT score of at least 1000).

  Endowed scholarships are awarded for a maximum of four years. These scholarships are limited in number and, therefore, are not always available. If you believe that you qualify for one of the awards described above, please send us official proof of test scores. We cannot accept photocopies or faxes. 

  You can request that an official TOEFL report be sent to Otterbein by visiting the TOEFL website. When requesting an official score report, please use Otterbein's four-digit institution code, which is 1597. 

  An official ACT report may be requested at www.act.org, and you may request an official SAT report.

• President's Scholar Award ($12,500 per year)

  If you are accepted and receive an Otterbein Scholar Award and have demonstrated outstanding scholarship and leadership in high school, you will be invited to compete for a President's Scholar Award of $12,500 per year. There are a limited number of these awards granted during an academic year. Therefore, it is best to apply early. This award replaces the Otterbein Scholar Award and is renewable each year (for a total of $50,000 during four years), provided you maintain a B average while at Otterbein.

• Bridge Scholar Award

  You may qualify for a Bridge Scholar Award of $3,000-$4,000 per year if you have completed an Associate's Degree and you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. You will be notified when you are admitted to Otterbein. Bridge Scholar Awards are two-year awards for full-time students.

• Otterbein Scholar Transfer Award

  You are eligible to receive an Otterbein Scholar Transfer Award of $2,500 per year if you are a traditional-age transfer students who has attempted at least 12 quarter hours or 18 semester hours of coursework and have earned a transferable GPA of 2.8 or higher. This award is renewable during the regular academic year and is based on full-time enrollment. (If you qualify for an Otterbein Scholar Award or Bridge Scholar Award, you would receive one of those awards rather than this transfer award.)
