Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure

Earn an initial teaching license at Otterbein.

Otterbein’s post-baccalaureate education program offers a non-degree licensure option at the undergraduate level for those already holding a bachelor’s degree. Before starting the program, a transcript evaluation is completed for every student in order to create an individualized schedule that will include the necessary courses and field experiences require to apply for an initial teaching license in Ohio. For more information, see our Licensure Program Information page.

“The Post Baccalaureate program at Otterbein University has been a great experience for me over the past year and a half. I have had wonderful professors who are there to help me become the best teacher I can be, and push me to limits I did not think were possible. The support system within the education department is immense, and never do you feel alone. I have had wonderful placements throughout my time at Otterbein, and have learned a great deal from them. I will take all of my experiences and knowledge with me as I start approaching the end of my Otterbein experience, and into the real world!”
