Named one of the 10 “Best Towns for Minor League Baseball” in 2015, the Columbus Clippers baseball team plays in the International League and is the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Westerville Parks and Rec offer more than 600 acres of parks and 30 miles of bike paths with Alum Park right down the hill from campus. Rent an Otterbike and get out there! Adventure is calling!
The Scioto Mile is a 145-acre urban park that stretches along the waterfront in downtown Columbus and offers a 15,000 square-foot fountain to play in, a free outdoor climbing wall and the Scioto Audubon. It’s also home to outdoor movies, concerts and plenty of other fun.
Hoover Reservoir—whether you want to go sailing, play the disc golf course, spot a bluebird or just explore the 4,700 acres of beautiful landscape—this park offers it all.
Sharon Woods is another close campus escape. Wander the forests, fields or trails or enjoy a picnic, fishing or other park programs and offerings.
Hocking Hills—zipline through the treetops or explore any of the nine state parks—Hocking Hills is described as Ohio’s scenic wonderland. Around an hour’s drive away—these hills are worth the hike.
