Students applying online will be required to submit a $35 fee as part of the application process.  Students that have served in the U.S. Military, returning students, and Otterbein University employees are not required to submit the $35 application fee.

You do not have to complete the application in one sitting. You can complete your application sections in any order, save your work and come back later - even from a different computer! Your data is transferred securely over the Internet. Otterbein will not share or sell your personal information to anyone outside the University.

Apply Using Otterbein's Online Application

  1. Create your account

    In order to complete your application you will need to create an account. On the login page of the application, click New User to create your account. You can save your application and log back in at any time to finish - just remember to write down your login ID and pin.
  2. Fill out the application

    You can complete your application in any order, save your work and come back to it later.
    • To save what you have done so far and exit your application, click the 'finish later' button, and then click exit.
    • To log back into your application and continue working on it, select the 'apply for admission' link and enter your login ID and pin.
  3. Submit your application

    Check your application carefully. When you are satisfied with it and are ready to submit it to us, click 'application is complete' at the bottom of the menu.
  4. Pay your $35 application fee if applicable.

  5. Mail us your additional information

    To complete your admission file, please mail official transcripts of all previously attended institutions to our office. Students under the age of 23 and students with less than 12 hours of transferable credit will also need to send official high school transcripts. Transfer students under the age of 23 are encouraged to submit official ACT and SAT scores. International applicants will need to mail us materials described in the directions for the International Application for Admission. These items must be received before your application for admission can be processed. Mail your materials to:
