Allied Health Care Administration Track Curriculum

2+3 Program: Associate Degree to BA Allied Health to MS Allied Health – Allied Health Care Administration

This curriculum plan is for those who hold an Associate’s degree in a related field of study.

Undergraduate Requirements:

All courses are four (4) credit hours each.

Allied Health (Bachelor of Arts) – 28 hours

HLED 3660 – Movement Science I
HLED 3670 – Movement Science II
ATHT 3400 – Kinesiology
BIO 1810 – Anatomy & Physiology I
BIO 1810 – Anatomy & Physiology II
PSYCH 2000 – Lifespan Development
PHED 4400 – Exercise Physiology
Elective

General Education Requirements – 24 hours

MATH 1240 – Statistics I
INST 2400 – Natural Foundations Thread
INST 2600 – Creativity and Culture Thread
INST 3500 – Interdisciplinary Dyad
INST 4000 – Interdisciplinary Dyad
Senior Year Experience (SYE)

TOTAL UNDERGRADUATE HOURS: 56 Hours

Graduate Requirements:

All courses are three (3) credit hours each.

Core Courses for the Master Degree - (15 hours)

MSAH 5300 – Program Planning and Evaluation
MSAH 5230 – Leadership and Ethics
MSAH 5220 – Evidence-based Practice
MSAH 5000 – Research Design (prerequisite MATH 1240 – Statistics 1 required)
MSAH 5050 – Allied Health Care Administration

Advanced Practice Content Courses - (6 hours)

MBA 6000 – Managing in Organizations (ACCT 2000 prerequisite required)
MBA 6200 – Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations (ACCT 2000 prerequisite required)
MBA 6350 – Management of Services (ACCT 2000 prerequisite required)

MSAH 6500 US Health Care Policy
MSAH 6510 Ethical Healthcare Leadership

Thesis or Advanced Practicum: (Either option – repeated twice for 6 hours)

MSAH 6900 – Advanced Clinical Practicum (6 hours)
OR
MSAH 7000 – Thesis (6 hours)

One elective course required (3 hours). The elective course can be taken from any graduate level program (MSAH, MBA, Education or Nursing). Please consult your academic advisor for additional help in the selection of this course. 

TOTAL GRADUATE HOURS: 30 Hours
