Ohio House of Representatives Candidate Debate in library

On September 29, 2004 at 7:00pm on the second floor in the Otterbein College Courtright Memorial Library, there will be a political debate involving representatives from the Democrat, Green, and Republican parties. The debate is open to the public.

The candidates running for the Ohio House of Representatives who will be involved in this debate include incumbent Republican Larry Flowers, Green Party Richard Otten, and Democrat Antoine Wright. These candidates are from the 19th District, which includes Otterbein College and most of Westerville.

The purpose of the debate is to give voters the opportunity to discuss issues with their candidates, as well as raise political awareness and voter turnout for the November 2nd election. Voter registration forms will also be available. Big Torch & Key book sale

The library will be holding its annual Torch & Key book sale starting Tuesday September 28th. Prices are 50 cents for paperback books and 1 dollar for hardcover. Proceeds support a Torch and Key scholarship for Otterbein students.

Library Cafe

The Library is holding a contest to name the Cafe! Place your name suggestion in the drop box in the Library by October 8th. The winner will be announced at the Homecoming football game on October 15th.
