Courtright Memorial Library welcomes a visiting librarian Ms. Youhua (Audrey) Chen from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, one of the top five universities in China.

The goal of Ms. Chen's visit is to develop a comprehensive understanding of U.S. academic libraries’ operations including collections, services and management.

On October 20th from 12:30-1:30pm at Campus Center Dinning Room Three, Ms. Chen will give a presentation to campus about educational opportunities in Shanghai and Shanghai Jiaotong University. Mathematics professor Dr. Zhen Huang and librarian Betsy Salt will be guest speakers with Ms. Chen. We hope you will come to this presentation where we will explore the opportunities faculty, staff and students have for study abroad, exchange visits, and other learning experiences in China. New Public Annoucement (PA) Systems

The library now has 2 small PA systems available for students, faculty and staff to check out. These systems come in a compact carrier and include a small speaker and stand, microphone, mic cable, and a 1/8” stereo cable which can connect the speaker to an iPod or other MP3 device. These two systems circulate for three days at a time and are great for campus gatherings of all sizes.

Otterbikes

Otterbikes are available to be checked out for a three day period! Students, faculty, and staff can sign up for the program at the circulation desk. The program costs $5 per semester to cover maintenance costs and you can pay for years in advance! There are 22 bikes to choose from and they come in many sizes and styles. So please come check out a bike for three days and experience the fun you can have riding a bike in Westerville.

The Otterbein University Torch & Key Honorary Society is holding it’s annual book sale at Courtright Memorial Library from September 21 to November 4th.
