This Month's Library Display

Human Size Autobiography

Come meet the children from the Hartville Migrant Center in Hartville Ohio. Find out who likes to be a migrant, who's proud to be Mexican, and even who likes broccoli.

A display on the first and lower level of the library features drawings by children of migrant farm workers.

Diane Ross of the Education Department met, read to, and helped boys and girls, ages 6 to 12, to draw a life-size picture of themselves so all of us at Otterbein could meet them. The Hartville Migrant Center has created a community for workers in the area, 70 % of whom return annually and find friendship, stability and support with health care, education and legal services.

New materials added in the past month. More...
