Minor in Mathematics
The mathematics minor includes coursework in calculus and linear algebra as well as an introduction to mathematical proof. As mathematics is utilized in numerous desirable careers like engineering, data science, finance, computer science, accounting, economics, applied science research, and more, mathematics is an attractive minor to add to your resume!
Required courses (17-18 hrs):
- MATH 1700 – Calculus I
- MATH 1800 – Calculus II
- MATH 2500 – Linear Algebra
Then, choose one from the following:
- MATH 1500 – Introduction to Mathematical Thought
- MATH 2700 – Multivariable Calculus.
And then select at least three hours from the following:
- MATH 2240 – Statistics II
- MATH 2800 – Advanced Euclidean Geometry
- MATH 3000:4999.
