John Kendall, Class of 1968

John “Jack” Kendall ’68 died January 17, 2023. Jack was born October 30, 1946, in Hillsboro, OH to the late Mack and Frances Kendall.
Jack grew up in the Mowrystown, OH area and graduated from Whiteoak High School in 1964, attended Otterbein College for 3 years, moved to Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1973. After college Jack worked for the University of Arizona until 1977. During that time, he was a computer processer on the NASA Pioneer Project.
Jack was an independent contractor for many agencies – law enforcement: programming computers, writing programs, and maintaining the hardware, and helping them move to a new facility; for Technics: working on defense buildings and medical hospitals installing and repairing heating, air-conditioning, and automation control. He worked for a restaurant/nightclub chain of nine stores installing and repairing TVs, sound systems, and other electrical equipment. He worked with fire fighters installing and maintaining their computers until 2009. Jack retired in 2010, caring for his mother until her death, then started his own business, Wisewerks, an electronics and computer repair service. Jack always kept busy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Frances (Forseille) Kendall.
