Katharine Odon Pellett ’51 died October 25, 2021. She was born May 4, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Rev. Louis and Dorothy (Naujoks) Odon. She attended Otterbein College and was a member of Sigma Alpha Tau (Owls) sorority. Katharine married Rev. C. Edwin Pellett on September 28, 1951, in the Southern Hills EUB Church in what is now Kettering.

Katharine was a homemaker who loved trying new recipes, and enjoyed gardening, canning, crafting, and collecting a wide variety of shells, stones, and other interesting objects. In addition to her family, she was deeply committed to local, regional, national and worldwide community service. She held offices in the former EUB Church, and after the merger that created the United Methodist Church, with the West Ohio Conference, North Central Jurisdiction, General Board of Global Ministries, and United Methodist Women.

Katharine is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ed; children Scott, Philip, Marcia, and Karen ’74; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
