Pryestt Strickland ’98 died Jan. 17, 2022. He was born Nov. 15, 1972, in Akron, OH to James Walters and Vivian Quintella Walters. Pryestt graduated from East High School in Akron, OH in 1991. He attended both Ohio Wesleyan and Otterbein University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While at Otterbein he participated in track & field and was a Residence Life staff member.

Pryestt was a wonderful man of God. He married the love of his life, Billy in 2010, and together they had 6 children. Pryestt was employed by Dendron Pharmaceuticals as an Immunotherapy Territory Manager. He had a very successful career for more than 20 years in pharmaceutical sales. Pryestt loved to travel the world, trying new foods, and enjoying beautiful destinations near the ocean. He especially enjoyed going on family vacations. Pryestt was a tenacious Cleveland Browns enthusiast. You could find him on many Sundays cheering on the Browns. Pryestt was a true family man. He loved spending time with his family/friends, cooking, laughing, telling stories, and enjoying life.

Pryestt is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rev. Edward Lewis Strickland, Janie Ruth Strickland, and Paternal grandfather Daniel Walters. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Billy Strickland, his children Mikaila Williams (Gino), Deryn Tye, Kyra Tye, Toj Strickland, Selah Strickland, and Chans Strickland. Two beautiful granddaughters, Ava Venditti and Ari Venditti. His siblings, Gabrielle Strickland, Jason Walters, Jael Walters, James Walters, James Walters Jr., and Jamese Walters. He also leaves a very special great aunt Cora, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends
