Susan Brown, Class of 1990

Susan Brown ’90 died February 1, 2020. Susan was born on October 24th, 1967, to Kenneth and Doris (Cochran) Brown.
Susan attended Perry Highschool and graduated in 1986. During her time at Perry Highschool, she was a part of speech and debate, select choir, National Honors Society, choreography, theatre, and aerobics. She attended Otterbein University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in speech and communication. During her time at Otterbein, she was a member of the residence life staff, Epsilon Kappa Tau (Arbutus) sorority, and Order of Omega. She continued her education at American University, where she got her masters, and then attended Methodist Theological School, and finished her educational journey doing doctoral study work at Duke University School of Theology.
Susan became ordained as an elder in the United Methodist church and continued to serve until she no longer could. As a young leader in the United Methodist Church, Susan traveled to the World Methodist Conference in Africa and Singapore. Before ministry, she interned at the Pentagon in Washington D.C., later working with the USO where she traveled to South Korea and Germany. In the public relations field, Susan served the Buffalo Philharmonic, Mackinac City Theater, and was Director of a performing arts school in Bellevue, Washington.
Susan is preceded in death by her by grandparents Robert and Jane Cochran, Clayton Brown, Paul and Gail Shibler, and mother-in law Patricia Ann Krueger.
Susan is survived by, her husband Rev. Jerry W. Krueger, her parents, siblings Kenny Brown, Pastor Keith (Jennifer) Brown, Rev. Kelly (Amy) Brown, father-in-law Glen J. Krueger, stepchildren Will (Heidi) Krueger, Michael (Dr. Anita) Krueger, John Krueger, sisters-and brothers in-law Janet and John Krueger- Barr, and Jean and William Quinn, nieces and nephews, five step grandchildren.
