Thelma Hodson Orr, Class of 1956

Thelma Hodson Orr ’56 died July 11, 2023. Thelma was born November 11, 1934. She graduated from Otterbein with a BA in Health and Sport Sciences with a major in Physical Education. She went on the attend the University of Southern California and California State University-Long Beach.
While at Otterbein she was in the choir, Tan & Cardinal, Sibyl, Student Government, and Theta Alpha Phi (Drama) club. She also played basketball. At Otterbein, there is a room in the Science Center, Office #26, Room #325, named Thelma Orr.
Thelma retired from Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center as the Director of Physical Therapy.
Thelma’s is survived by her children; John M. Orr, & Steven Orr; grandson Jackson Orr. She is predeceased by her husband John Berk Orr, sister and brother-in-law; Myrl Hodson ’47 & Royal ’49 Fitzpatrick.
