Thomas Kearns, Class of 1949

Thomas Kearns ’49 died May 19, 2014. He was born December 4, 1925 to the late Earl Kearns ’25. Tom graduated form Otterbein with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Biology. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi (Country Club) fraternity and played football & basketball. Tom was the owner of Thomas J. Kearns Roofing Company in Pennsylvania.

Tom was the husband of the late Florence Kearns; longtime companion of Anne Moskal; brother of the late Nancy, Carolyn and James; and stepbrother of Karen and Christopher; father of Daniel Mark and Barbara Kearns. He had numerous grand, great grandchildren, and other relatives.
