Art & Communication Building

The Department of Communication and the Department of Art, including the Miller Art Gallery, are housed in this building. Otterbein’s radio station (WOBN), video and podcast studios, editing booths, journalism labs, computer labs are located here. Students majoring in Communication Studies, Health Communication, Journalism and Media Communication and Public Relations will find classrooms and the John Ludlum Student Lounge here as well.

Students are introduced to the technical side of productions by serving as camera operators, editors, audio and video technicians, graphic designers, technical directors, and other television crew positions. Students broadcast live while learning the talent of on-air announcing. Facilities feature individual video production editing booths, a large video studio complete with green screen, and editing labs/classrooms.
WOBN-FM Radio Station (97.5 FM)
Students at WOBN-FM learn how to do remotes and live airshifts on the NexGen Automation system. The WOBN production studios contain MAC and PC-based digital editing software.
