Dr. Eric Jones currently serves as the Chair of the Communication Department. He is an associate professor of journalism; teaching audio production, sports communication, and media diversity. He is also the advisor for WOBN FM, the FCC-licensed campus radio station operated by Otterbein students. In addition, he serves as a volunteer with the Simba Advisory Committee, a mentoring organization at the Ohio Franklin County Children Services agency. Jean P. Kelly
Associate Professor
Dr. Jean P. Kelly believes in the power of stories, both hers and others, to give hope, build faith, and improve communities. She is an associate professor of journalism; teaching reporting, writing, branding, graphic design and podcast storytelling. Together with her students, Dr. Kelly also puts faith in action through community-based research and service-learning projects in urban neighborhoods as well as with student-directed production of podcasts. Nichelle McNabb

Dr. Nichelle McNabb is interested in political communication, communication in education and the perception of educators, and academic debates. She is a professor of communication; teaching Persuasion, Communicating with Audiences, Intercultural Communication, Rhetorical Theory, Fake News and Political Conspiracy Theories, and a Freshman Year Seminar on the presidential election once every four years. Susan Millsap

Dr. Susan Millsap has been teaching and coaching forensics for forty years, thirty-five of those years at Otterbein. She is a professor of Communication teaching; Public Speaking, Argumentation and Advocacy, and Interpreting Communication Research. Michael Moon
Assistant Professor
Mr. Moon is an Emmy-award winning media professional, former television producer, audio-visual storyteller and cinematic videographer who teaches students how to be effective digital media marketers and content creators. He manages several personalized internship placements in the large, Columbus media market for journalism and media communication majors, and mentors students in the production of quality video and social media content for their professional portfolios.
Kerry Strayer
Professor
Dr. Kerry Strayer teaches courses in Communication Studies including Communication Theories, Teamwork, Organizational Communication, and Gender and Communication. Additionally, she team teaches a Gen Ed course in Censorship, as well as a Senior Year Experience course titled, Community, Change, and Leadership. Her research is currently focused on creating a collaborative, multi-generational workplace. Her newest project will involve creating a Cultural Awareness Training course for medical professionals. Hillary Warren
Professor
Dr. Hillary Warren is a professor of journalism; teaching courses in journalism, professional communication, research methods and multimedia production. Dr. Warren is the Advisor for T&C Media, a student-run media organization that primarily covers campus news and events. It also reports on areas of interest to the Otterbein and Westerville communities. Since 2021, she has been the College Media Association Vice President for Member Support.

Stephen Rossman
Video Production Manager/Campus Videographer
Stephen Rossman began his television career in 1986. He held production and engineering positions at TV stations in Erie, PA and Columbus, OH. At Otterbein, Stephen assists Communication faculty with their technical needs and mentors students in their chosen career path. As Otterbein's videographer, he provides internal and external visual media for the Marketing and Communications Department, provides video support for the Theater and Dance program, and facilitates livestream events on campus.
