Joanne Miller Stichweh ‘67 had a life-long passion for art and education. For over 30 years, Joanne taught art history and studio art courses at Otterbein, leaving an immense impact on her students and fellow artists that knew her. Many can recall Joanne attending exhibitions, sitting on a gallery bench and wearing a colorful silk scarf as she admired artwork. As a way to honor her memory, 20 alumni and artist friends were invited to create works inspired by Joanne’s scarves. Her impact as an artist and legacy as a mentor is evident in the works represented in this tribute exhibition.
