The 2024 Otterbein Summer Theatre season continues a restaging of a beloved 1940s holiday classic within a vintage radio broadcast, “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.”

Experience the Golden Age of Radio in this reimagined telling of the beloved holiday classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Catch a rare glimpse inside the radio sound studio as only a handful of actors portray multiple characters alongside talented foley artists who create all of the sound effects live, onstage. Leave the hot summer days outside, and reacquaint yourself with the story of George Bailey, who reminds us that no matter how ordinary, life truly is wonderful.

“It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” is adapted by Joe Landry with original music and musical arrangement by Kevin Connors. “It’s A Wonderful Life” is based on the story “The Greatest Gift” by Philip Van Doren Stern.
