Stewart Smith is an Adjunct Professor and CPA with over 30 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, Annual Report Preparation, Budgeting, Cash Flow Analysis, Corporate Governance, Controllership, Expense Control, Payroll/Benefits, Finance, Governmental and Non-profit, Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, International Business, Merger Due Diligence, Operations, Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Process Re-engineering. Stewart is the Director of Finance and Deputy Fiscal Officer for Columbus Metropolitan Library. Responsible for the leadership and direction of a team overseeing accounting, payroll, benefits, internal audit, annual reporting, grant reporting, and developing financial policies to maintain proper internal controls. Responsible for various external relationships and information flow to internal and external auditors, bankers, governmental agencies, the Board of Trustees, and other relevant stakeholders and oversees risk management functions.
