Dr. Takeshi (Mike) Tsuyuguchi earned his B.S. in Finance and Information and Decision Sciences (IDS) from Valparaiso University, an M.A. in Chinese Studies from Valparaiso University, an M.S. in Business Analytics from the University of Colorado, and a Ph.D. in Finance from Texas A&M International University.

Dr. Tsuyuguchi has taught business statistics, operations management, and discrete event simulation at the University of Colorado, as well as micro- and macroeconomics courses at Texas A&M International University. At Otterbein University, he teaches undergraduate courses in business finance, intermediate corporate finance, and international finance, as well as a graduate course in financial management. He has also worked for a multinational automotive company in Indiana and a logistics company in Illinois.

Having traveled to more than 20 countries, Dr. Tsuyuguchi brings a unique perspective and firsthand knowledge of various cultures, enabling him to provide a more comprehensive and culturally sensitive education to his students. He consistently strives to deliver instruction in a manner that empowers students not only to grasp and comprehend concepts but also to readily apply them in their future real-life experiences.

Dr. Tsuyuguchi conducts research in the cryptocurrency market, with a particular interest in analyzing the relationship with other asset classes, with additional interests in big data, user-generated content (UGC), and machine learning.
